The Mulligan is a parable about the forgiveness of God. Paul McAllister, a very successful middle-aged business owner, is paired with Davis Love and 3 other amateurs in a golf event. His high opinion of his golf game is not in evidence as he plays the first 8 holes; he is "all-over" the course with poor drives, sculled and skied irons and poor putting.
